Development of a hybrid manufacturing process for multi-material gaskets incl. Construction process monitoring

As part of the HyMuMa R&D project, IDD is working with the company Kudernak GmbH from Rödermark to further develop an innovative manufacturing process for seals as part of a state offensive for the development of scientific and economic excellence (LOEWE) funding. The manufacturing process is intended to combine the strengths of additive and subtractive manufacturing in a hybrid manufacturing process. In addition, the advantages of multi-material 3D printers are to be used to develop a process with which components can be manufactured in a load-oriented and cost-effective manner.
