Textile sublimation transfer printing

In textile sublimation transfer (TST) printing, the motive is printed on a non-textile substrate first (e.g. transfer paper or foil). In a second step, the motive is transferred onto the textile substrate by means of heat and pressure

The colorants used for TST printing are mostly azo or anthraquinone colorants. . As all organic compounds, the colorants absorb UV and VIS radiation. This high-energy radiation decomposes the bonds of the color molecules and makes the colors look pale in the course of time.

In this Research we focus on increasing the light fastness of these colorants
