BMT Team at the Annual Meeting of the European Society for Biomaterials (ESB)
2025/09/23
Once again, the Biomedical Printing Technology team was represented at the 34th Annual Conference of the European Society for Biomaterials (ESB), which took place in Turin from September 7 to 11, 2025. Current work was presented in several lectures and intensive exchange with an international audience was sought. The conference offered an ideal opportunity to share research results, receive feedback, and gain new impetus for the further development of innovative approaches in the field of biomaterial technologies.
The BMT's conference contributions:
- Hybrid Multiscale 3D-Printing of Organs-on-a-Chip with Biosynthetic Vessels for Improved Nutrient Supply (Johanna Vetter, Jonathan Holfelder, Theresa Schmid, Andreas Blaeser)
- Self-assembling peptide fibrils as biofunctionalizable biomaterials for controlled 3D cell culture models (Philipp Richthof, Jasmina Gačanin, Thunchanok Thummaraj, Isabelle Schmidt, Hanna Hartmann, Tanja Weil, Andreas Blaeser)
- 3D-Melt-Spin-Bioprinting – a novel freeform fabrication technique for the generation of textile like scaffolds that support trilineage hMSC differentiation (Sebastian Scholpp, Nils Köhler, Philipp Sauerbrei, Moritz Vierling, Eva Schätzlein, Andreas Blaeser)
