Way to IDD

Travelling by car

Coming from autobahn A5 from Frankfurt, Heidelberg or autobahn A67 from Mainz, Mannheim you reach the intersection “Darmstädter Kreuz”. Following the signage “Darmstadt Stadtmitte” (city center), via autobahn A672 you will reach the Rheinstraße.

Still following the signage, you turn left at the next traffic light. You continue further on the City-Ring in the direction of the castle. Take the right lane and pass the next traffic light (junction Landgraf-Georg-Straße / Schlossgrabenstraße). After about 100 m, you turn right into Alexanderstraße (sign: “TU-Stadtmitte, Nebenstrecke Dieburg”). Arriving at the next junction (distance approx. 250 m), you turn left into Magdalenenstraße.

You can find the IDD-building after about 50 m on the left behind a gate and courtyard.

Coming from Dieburg-Aschaffenburg via B26, you follow the signage TU-Stadtmitte and Stadtmitte (city center), respectively. You will pass the Ostbahnhof (east station), a gas station (“Jet”) and the hospital “Elisabethenstift”. Arriving at the castle (junction Landgraf-Georg-Straße / Schlossgrabenstraße), you turn right, follow B26 on the right lane and turn right again at the traffic light into Alexanderstraße (sign: “TU-Stadtmitte, Nebenstrecke Dieburg”). Arriving at the next junction (distance approx. 250 m), you turn left into Magdalenenstraße.

You can find the IDD-building after about 50 m on the left behind a gate and courtyard.

Parking at IDD

At the institute you will find some on-site parking facilities. Parking is allowed in the surrounding residential areas as well. However, empty parking spaces are usually hard to find. Therefore, we advise to use public parking garages in the city center. For example, Q-Park (near convention center darmstadtium) or Schlossgarage underneath Karolinenplatz are in walking distance. You can find other locations on the map.
