Research

As part of the new research group “biomedical print technologies” I focus on the development, implementation and characterization of new and innovative 3D-bioprinting systems and techniques for the three-dimensional, functional application of various cell types in tissue engineering. The bioprinted tissue units can then be implanted in living organisms or serve as tissue models for drug and toxicity screening. Further processes for the dosing of these cells as well as fitting print parameters during the process have to be developed.
